German Ambassador to India Walter J. Lindner calls on Punjab CM

Punjab’s success in creating more employment through industrial collaborations was discussed in the meeting with Walter J. Lindner, according to Mr Amarinder.

NEW DELHI — The German Ambassador to India, Walter J. Lindner, on Monday called on the Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh.

Punjab’s success in creating more employment through industrial collaborations was discussed, as were a variety of ways to harness strong bilateral relations between India and Germany, according to Mr Amarinder.

He added that the well-being of Punjabis, who have moved to Germany, was also among the topics of discussion.

“Happy to meet German Ambassador H.E. @AmbLindnerIndia. Discussed range of measures to leverage strong bilateral ties between India & Germany for Punjab’s progress in creating more jobs through industrial partnerships. Also, discussed the welfare of our Punjabis settled there,” he added.

Reflecting on a series of meetings, Walter J. Lindner took to micro-blogging platform Twitter and wrote, “Good meetings & talks in Chandigarh with CMs of Haryana, (Manohar Lal) and Punjab (Capt Amarinder Singh) & Governors of Haryana (Bandaru Dattatreya) & Punjab (VP Singh Badnore).”

“Covid, State-relations to Germany, investment-conditions, agriculture, current political developments among topics were discussed,” he added.

Earlier, the Chief Minister Amarinder Singh met a farmers’ delegation.
