PRISM’24: VIT College’s Inclusive Platform for Social Innovation and Sustainability
Public Reform, Innovation, Sustainability, and Management Conference was held at VIT, Pune. It served as a rich, innovation-driven, and socially transformative platform. For the first time, the ‘Social Welfare and Development Committee’ of VIT College established this unique forum.
The primary aim of the conference was to bring together organizations and the NSS Unit, who are making invaluable contributions to society, providing them with an opportunity to present their work and inspire attendees to engage in social work. The event’s chief guest, Mr. Bajrangdas Lohia, Vice President of the college, graced the occasion, and NSS Program Officer Mr. Gambhire provided crucial support for the conference. Representatives from prestigious organizations like Deepstambh Foundation, UNICEF, Naam Foundation, and Paani Foundation shared their impactful work and experiences.
A key highlight of the conference was the Team Presentations, where participating students showcased their impactful work based on public reform. Additionally, Round Table discussions were organized, fostering collaboration and brainstorming innovative solutions to some of today’s most pressing social issues. Competitions were also held to capture student ideas on how technology could be used to solve societal problems.
This unique conference, with the objective of spreading rays of transformation across every sphere of society, was widely appreciated. Each participant left with new hope, invaluable perspectives, and a renewed commitment to contributing to society.
