Indian Staffing Federation (ISF), the apex body for India’s fast-growing flexi-staffing space announces new leadership

Indian Staffing Federation (ISF), the apex body of India’s Flexi staffing space, today announced its new leadership team for 2020-2022. Lohit Bhatia, President Workforce Management, Quess Corp and Farhan Azmi, CMD, Futurz Staffing Pvt. Ltd. have been elected as the President & Vice-president and will be taking over from the outgoing President Rituparna Chakraborty, Co-founder & EVP, Teamlease and outgoing Vice-president, R P Yadav, CMD, Genius Consultants.

India is already the 5th largest market employing 3.3 million Flexi staff in 2020, growing at 22.7% CAGR despite 0.6% flexi staffing penetration which is much behind the global average of 2.3%. The staffing industry provides a platform for recognized employment, work choice, compensation, annual benefits and health benefits for the temporary workforce that constitutes almost 70% of India’s total workforce.

Commenting on his election as the President of Indian Staffing Federation, Lohit Bhatia, said, “The current positive regulatory environment has accelerated India’s shift from an informal to formal economy. In her comments, Rituparna Chakraborty, Board Member & (Former President), ISF said, “In under 9 years have had the pleasure of helming ISF’s exponential growth into India’s apex body for the Flexi staffing space with 100+ members who between them employ 1 million flexi staff. Over the past decade, we have provided a stepping stone to a better and brighter career for over 9 million youth. And enabled an eco-system that actively supports the growth and expansion of corporate India through flexibility, administrative efficiency and flawless compliance. Extend my full-fledged co-operation to the new team in their endeavour to take ISF to its next level of growth.”

Sharing his thought, Farhan Azmi, Vice-president, ISF, said, “We would focus on furthering the awareness of Flexi staffing among the masses and stronger partnership with the government to ensure the industry has its support in regulatory/policy aspects to ensure its meteoric growth continues unabated in the years ahead.”

R P Yadav, Board Member & (Former Vice-President), added, “The new team takes charge at a really exciting time in our industry’s evolution.
